Rashmi brings over two decades of experience spanning strategy, financial governance, systems thinking, and programme design across NGOs, foundations, CSR portfolios, and bilateral agencies. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Mumbai and an MBA in Consulting and Finance from IIT Madras, a combination that gives her an unusually sharp analytical edge in a sector that often trades rigour for intent.
Before co-founding Aline, Rashmi was General Manager of Programme Finance at Azim Premji Foundation, where she led organisational assessments and capacity development across a portfolio of over a hundred NGOs spanning agriculture, education, disability, and rural livelihoods. Prior to that, she spent nearly a decade at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Avalon Consulting, leading strategy, market assessments, and multi-stakeholder advisory engagements for government bodies, donor agencies, and civil society organisations. At Aline, she has worked with organisations including Malabar Gold and Diamonds, MacArthur Foundation, GIZ India, SELCO Foundation, Novo Nordisk Foundation, VAAGDHARA, and the Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship.
Rashmi is both the strategist and the engine. She has a frame for everything- finance, operations, project structures- and can build one on the spot without missing a beat. But what makes her exceptional is that this rigour sits alongside a genuine idealism: she sets ambitious goals because she believes ambitious outcomes are possible, then rolls up her sleeves to prove it. Thorough to the core, she goes well beyond surface recommendations, ensuring clients leave with clarity and a complete picture. She brings the same relentless energy to every engagement, no matter the scale.
